#SeeYouThrough as Coca-Cola brings excitement to Comrades Marathon
As an official race partner of the 2019 Comrades Marathon, Coca-Cola brings back #SeeYouThrough as an initiative for family and friends of runners to get involved. As a build up to the historic ultra-marathon, friends and families will have an opportunity to share their videos of support and encouragement via social media using #SeeYouThrough.
This will see a number of sports personalities, fans, running clubs take to their social media platforms to rally behind the people they support. On race day, the runners will have a chance to see their videos of support appear on screen when they reach the Coca-Cola Celebration Zone situated at the 63 KM mark.
Asanda Vumazonke, Brand Manager, says, “Coca-Cola’s long-standing partnership with the ultra- marathon is a special one that demonstrates the shared values of Coca-Cola and the Comrades marathon – inclusiveness, closeness, optimism and authenticity. Coca-Cola recognises that not only does it require a lot of motivation and a strong self-belief to compete in the marathon, but also often requires family members to become part of this journey through their much-needed moral support. #SeeYouThrough is a way for Coca-Cola to rally behind the runners and all supporters that are part of the historic race.”
Friends and families will have an additional opportunity to be part of the campaign at the Comrades Expo from 6-8 June 2019, where they can also record their videos of support and stand a chance to win spot prizes.
Fans are encouraged to use #SeeYouThrough and tag @Coca-Cola_ZA. “We look forward to bringing the excitement, enjoyment with every sip of Coca-Cola and seeing everyone through to the finish line,” adds Asanda Vumazonke Brand Manager.
