With its tagline ‘How Can We Help You?’, one of South Africa’s leading financial services providers, First National Bank (FNB), has come on board as an official sponsor to The Ultimate Human Race. Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) Chairperson, Mqondisi Ngcobo made the announcement at a launch at Comrades House recently.

Ngcobo said, “We are proud to announce that the country’s oldest banking institution, FNB has decided to partner with the Comrades Marathon. Not only are they investing in the success of The Ultimate Human Race, but they are also committed to supporting South African sports at all levels – from grassroots to greatness.”

“FNB shares that passion for South African sport and through its various sponsorship properties, which aims to help build future talent across various sporting codes, whether it’s road-running, rugby, football, netball, cricket or any of the eight university sports codes that they already sponsor,” adds Ngcobo.

FNB will partner with The Ultimate Human Race as the Comrades Marathon’s official financial services provider for the next three years.

This partnership is in line with our sponsorship strategy, which is centred on fostering social cohesion through sports and other initiatives,” says Bonga Sebesho, FNB Brand Experience Head.
