Orange Grove Dairy is the latest supplier-sponsor to sign up to the Comrades Marathon. The Dundee-based dairy will supply a range of dairy and related products over the course of the year, including during Comrades race week and to all athletes on race day.

Comrades Marathon Association Chairperson, Cheryl Winn made the announcement at Orange Grove Dairy Headquarters in the KwaZulu-Natal town of Dundee, in Umzinyathi District earlier this month.

Under the agreement, the 93-year old dairy will position itself as the official provider of dairy products, fruit juice products, Amahewu, Multigrain and Yoghurt to The Ultimate Human Race. Runners enjoyment of Amahewu especially, is reflected in the fact that the CMA provides nearly 40-thousand 250ml ready-to-drink sachets of the beverage at refreshment stations along the route on Comrades race day.

Starting with #Comrades2021, the three-year sponsorship will cover the 2022 race as well as the 2023 edition.

Having been founded in 1927, Orange Grove Dairy remains in the Durham family, and is currently run by the founder’s grandson, Dave Durham and his wife Sue who have grown it into one of the country’s largest private dairies.
