NEARLY 75% OF #COMRADES2025 ENTRY TALLY SNAPPED UP IN FIRST 10 DAYS OF ENTRY PROCESS
More Than A Race – Isiko Mpilo
The Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) has announced that nearly three quarters of the entry cap for the 2025 Comrades Marathon has been taken up within the first ten days of the entry process opening up to all aspirant athletes.
The 98th Comrades Marathon will be the 49th Down Run, starting at the Pietermaritzburg City Hall and finishing at Durban’s People’s Park on Sunday, 8 June 2025.
CMA Acting Race & Operations Manager, Alain Dalais has urged aspirant athletes to secure their spot on the #Comrades2025 start line, saying, “Prospective participants are reminded that time and spots are limited and we therefore urge runners to get their entries in to avoid disappointment. It is heartwarming to see the huge uptake of entries in such a short space of time and our participants can be assured of a phenomenal race day.”
Athletes can get their entry in via the official Comrades Marathon website www.comrades.com or the Comrades App.
Entry fees remain the same as that of the 2023 and 2024 races and are as follows:
ENTRY TYPE | ENTRY FEE |
South Africa 2025 Entrants | R1 200 |
Rest of Africa 2025 Entrants | R2 000 |
International 2025 Entrants | R4 500 |
Entry fee is waived for holders of 25 or more Comrades finishes.
