DISTRIBUTION OF #COMRADES2024 FINISHERS JACKET
The Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) has reconsidered the distribution of the #Comrades2024 Finishers Jacket, following feedback received from athletes.
The CMA re-introduced the prized memento after many years by offering qualified athletes the option to purchase the limited edition, stunningly designed, yellow and black unisex jacket.
CMA Race & Operations Manager, Ann Ashworth says, “Our runners have spoken and we have listened. This very special Comrades Finishers Jacket will only be obtainable by runners who successfully complete this year’s Comrades Marathon.”
South African athletes who purchase a Finishers Jacket can collect it at the Comrades Finishers Jacket collection point at the Comrades finish venue post-race on race day.
International athletes can collect their jacket at the Comrades International Hospitality facility post-race on race day.
Non-finishers who have ordered the jacket will receive a full refund post-race.
Only 1500 units of this limited-edition Comrades Finisher’s Jacket will be available for purchase at a retail price of R699,99 (incl. VAT) by athletes who have qualified for this year’s race. Orders may be placed through the runners’ entry profile at www.comrades.com from 7 May 2024 until 31 May 2024.
The 97th Comrades Marathon will be run on Sunday, 9 June 2024, starting at the Durban City Hall at 05h30 and ending 12 hours later at the Hollywoodbets Scottsville Racecourse in Pietermaritzburg.
